Sacred 2 release date on consoles is May 12, 2009
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is the sequel to the original Sacred and releases on May 12th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America and in Europe on June 5th, 2009.
The game is an action RPG with a “massive hand-designed game world, hundreds of monsters, two distinct campaigns and six unique character classes”. The game focuses on a world dealing with fantasy, magic and adventure.
Sacred 2 combines the best elements of hack ‘n slash gaming, roleplaying and an engrossing story about a magical world where a mysterious force called T-Energy is the source of all life and magic in the land of Ancaria. Ancaria was originally under the sole control of the ancient race of Seraphim, however over time they lost interest in the world and gave up some of their control to the High Elves. With this power, the High Elves quickly became the dominant race of Ancaria.
That has lead to a power struggle between the two most powerful High Elf factions in the world of Ancaria. The nobility and clergy are each trying to gain control over the T-Energy. Other races take advantage of the distraction the conflict provides and try to gain control of the T-Energy themselves, so they can become the dominant and most powerful race. As these events unfold, the T-Energy goes increasingly out of control and changes into a destructive force. A force that mutates creatures, destroys cities, and renders entire regions uninhabitable. The campaign selection you make will determine whether your story involves healing the land, or intensifying the chaos . . .
