STALKER 3: Call of Pripyat has been announced by developer GSC Game World for PC. The game is the third in the STALKER series after the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl in 2007 and the second one which was entitled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and was released last year.

This new game however will not be a sequel but rather a PREQUEL to the first game and will be released this fall 2009 if everything goes according to plan.

The title of the game is also a working title and may change, although it may also stick.

This new game will have an all-new storyline and will include a unique collection of characters that will offer a new extended system of sidequests for you to undertake. There is also the new “A-Life” system which was created using the elements that players liked most from the first two games. The game will also feature a new user interface that’s easier to use.
