Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising coming to PSP in Fall 2009

Namco Bandai has announced Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising for the PSP which will release this Fall 2009. This follows on the heels of two other PSP-exclusive Namco titles: Tekken 6 PSP and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny.

Based on the Naruto Shippuden anime series, this newest title finds Naruto and his friends on a quest to find Gaara, known as the fifth Kazekage. However in order to accomplish that goal they must face and defeat the Akatsuki criminal organization.

The game is a mission based adventure and will offer over 10 characters from the anime series in a “fast-paced tactical” game where players must time their jutsu attacks in order to maximize their damage output and launch “combined assaults as part of a three-man squad.”

Legends: Akatsuki Rising will also feature a numer of modes including two-player co-op and competitive. Modes include:

Original Mode: Players take on the basic storyline adventure that sees Naruto setting out on his quest to defeatthe Akatsuki and find Gaara.

Scenario Mode: Increase your characer’s abilities by undertaking various sidequests.

Akatsuki Mode: Allows players to assume the role of a member of the Akatsuki organization.

Versus Mode: Allows you to battle it out with a group of friends in either ad hoc local or wireless play.

ive been waiting for another naruto game on psp… im doin my tenth std.. i can play the games only after my tenth.. enjoy those who are playing..!

thank god about time i cant wait i got cwf cant wait to get it i also heard narutimate accel 3 is gonna be realeased on the psp in december so 2 great games just before christmas

It sounds really cool !!! My birthday is coming up tommorow and I can’t wait and Im am going to buy it the first chance I get!! The thing is… Im trying to find where to buy it and how much it is. Anyways, Ill be looking also for Narutimate Accel 3? If it is for PSP, Im SOOOOOOOO getting it.
