Ghost Recon 4

Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 4 for release during the first quarter of 2010, arriving before March 31st.

No details however were revealed on the title and the release window is just that, a window, meaning that the release could be later in 2010.

The announcement of Ghost Recon 4 is also not the final title of the game, whose previous release was entitled “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2″ and was released during March of 2007.

This Christmas 2009 will also see the release of Assassin’s Creed 2, James Cameron’s Avatar, Splinter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home and Red Steel 2.

Their full list of future and in-development titles is quite impressive and reads like this:

* Seven games from established franchises including Assassin’s Creed 2, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, Ghost Recon 4 and Anno 1404.
* Four games from various licenses such as James Cameron’s Avatar, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Arthur and the Invisibles.
* Three all-new brand name titles like R.U.S.E., I am Alive and a new sports game for the Wii.
* New casual games based on the successful Petz, Imagine and MyCoach brands as well as new innovations for Wii.

“In 2008-09, we continued to invest heavily in Ubisoft’s future potential, hiring some 1,300 talents for our studios with a view to driving the company’s expansion, further strengthening our franchises and preparing for the next generation of handheld as well as home consoles,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
