Duke Nukem Forever is 90% complete, reaching a major milestone according to game producer George Broussard of developer 3DRealms.
As you well know, Duke Nukem Forever has lived up to it’s name because it has been in development for over 12 years! It was announced WAAYYY back in April of 1997. To put that in perspective, that was BEFORE the release of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid!
Although not a whole lot is known about the game, it has been revealed that the longtime voice actor of Duke himself, John St. John, he will be returning to voice the hero and music composers Jeremy and Julian Soule will also be returning to work on the music for the game.
With the game at 90% complete there are now only 71 tasks to complete in the game! That is down from the original 800-900 tasks according to Broussard.
So with the game now at 90% complete, do you think that Duke Nukem Forever will actually see release THIS year?
Via Worth Playing
90%? Did Gearge actually say 90%?
All we know George could be referring to Prey 2.
Here’s what I think about a release this year: WHEN IT’S DONE!!!!
I don’t believe anything George Broussard says anymore anyway. I remember back in 2006 he was telling everyone they were polishing up DNF and he’s said something similar every year since.
Wow. You must have been pushed for a subject when you posted this. Did *anyone* believe Broussard in 2009?
Oh, look. See what happened in May.
i hate to say this but you guys all know that 3d realms is gone now right? meaning that this game is kaputz and wont ever see store shelves unless 3d realms comes back.
This game took 12 years…it looked nice and fresh for duke game but 12 years better blow away every FPS possible- this game failed before it could get on its feet…If its somehow magically produced and finished soon I think its just going to be a title that your going to trade in after a few weeks…
