I just got the game last night for my wii. Since everything in the game for all 4 systems is the same i think the only way to unlock the songs is to get 100% on the "The Thing That Should Not Be" even if you overstrum. Cuz I played the song and got every note on medium on my first try and right after the songs unlocked for me. I dont think it has anything to do with the downloadable content on the game systems.
