How to unlock all Guitar Hero: Metallica songs with codes and other cheats

On this page you can find the codes and cheats to enter into the music rhythm game’s Wii, PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to get new songs, modes, characters and more in Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Let’s start with cheat codes that unlock new modes and costumes. Select “Cheats” at the main menu, then “Enter New Cheat”. Enter one of the following codes to unlock the corresponding cheat option at the menu. You don’t have to strum while doing that. A message will confirm correct code entry.

• Press Red(2), Blue, Yellow, Green(3), Yellow — Air instruments
• Press Red(3), Blue(2), Green(2), Yellow — Always Drum Fill
• Press Yellow, Red, Green, Red, Green, Red(2), Blue — Black Highway
• Press Green, Red, Green, Blue, Red(2), Yellow, Blue — Flame Color
• Press Blue, Red(2), Green, Red, Green, Red, Yellow — Gem Color
• Press Green, Blue, Red, Yellow(2), Red, Green(2) — Hyperguitar, Hyperbass, and Hyperdrums
• Press Green, Red, Yellow(3), Blue(2) — Green Invisible Rocker
• Press Green, Red, Yellow, Blue(2), Yellow, Red, Green — Metallica Costumes
• Press Yellow (2), Blue, Red, Blue, Green, Red (2) — Performance Mode
• Press Red(2), Yellow, Red, Blue, Red, Red, Blue — Star Color
• Press Yellow, Green, Red, Blue(4), Red — This mode automatically plays the bass pedal for the drummer. It has no effect online.
• Press Green(2), Red(2), Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue — This turns all guitar notes (not chords) into touch pad sliding notes connected by purple lines. It has no effect online
• Press Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green — This unlocks additional Line 6 effects in the Music Studio
• Press Red, Green(2), Yellow, Blue, Green, Yellow, Green — Vocal Fireball

• James Hetfield Zombie: Earn 200 stars in Vocal Career
• King Diamond: Play “Evil” on any career mode
• Kirk Hammett: Get 100 stars on Guitar Career Mode
• Kirk Hammett Classic: Get 150 stars on Guitar Career Mode
• Kirk Hammett Zombie: Earn 200 stars in Guitar Career
• Klown Bass: Earn 45 stars in Bass Career
• Lars Ulrich: Get 100 stars on Drums Career Mode

I tried to unlock the songs in Metallica on my xbox 360 I beat the song The thing that should not be on Guitar and the songs did not come up?
Do I need to do something else?

played through guitar and bass on expert, beat the thing that should not be on both, and still no songs have unlocked for me. what else do you need to do?

those songs will only be unlocked if you have a Playstation 2, since those three songs were in the “Death Magnetic” downloadable content for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. I think the same applies for Wii

I’m not sure about what you said Gibbsy. I just got the game last night for my wii. Since everything in the game for all 4 systems is the same i think the only way to unlock the songs is to get 100% on the “The Thing That Should Not Be” even if you overstrum. Cuz I played the song and got every note on medium on my first try and right after the songs unlocked for me. I dont think it has anything to do with the downloadable content on the game systems. But it was a good idea though.

same… i did the same thing and i got all the songs too. and i have a 360 elite so it might be different for some systems.

I own a Wii, and I think it’s that you have to beat all the other songs, then beat the thing that should not be. It doesn’t matter what level you do it on.
