Official Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 character list

30 Playable Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion characters have been confirmed for the roster. The action-RPG game releases in America on September 15th, 2009. It has been announced for Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. No PC version apparently.

Certain console versions will have exclusive characters, and systems that allow for DLC will receive additional characters for download! This was confirmed* by the president of developer Vicarious Vision, Guha Bala. If you want to unlock all hero characters, then during gameplay press: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Start.

The sequel to 2006’s Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion will feature both new and returning characters of both the hero and villain variety all from the Marvel Universe. A new feature that allows characters to combine with other characters, thus the “Fusion” subtitle. The game will include an updated power combo system, improved camera and controls, Havok physics technology, a new 3D sound system and improved lip syncing among other new features.

List of playable characters, in alphabetical order:

1. Blade — Exclusive to the Wii, PS2 & PSP versions.

3. Cyclops — Exclusive to the Wii, PS2 & PSP versions.
4. Daredevil
5. Deadpool — Unlockable by beating the D.C. Level. Note: He knows he’s in a videogame haha!
6. Gambit
7. Green Goblin (Villain) — Unlockable by: beating him at the end of Wakanda Act 3.
8. Hulk — Unlockable during gameplay by pressing: Down, Left, Left, Up, Right, Up, Down, Left, Start. OR by collecting all 5 Gamma Regulators.
9. Human Torch
10. Iceman
11. Invisible Woman
12. Iron Fist — Unlockable by: selecting the Rebel side when faced with the choice.
13. Iron Man
14. Jean Grey — Unlockable during gameplay by pressing: Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down, Start. OR by collecting all 5 M’Kraan Shards.
15. Juggernaut (Villain) — A GameStop, Amazon UK or EB Games AUS pre-order bonus.
16. Luke Cage AKA Power Man
17. Mr. Fantastic
18. Ms. Marvel — Unlockable by: beating the NYC Level.
19. Nick Fury — Unlockable by: finishing the game.
20. Penance — Unlockable by: beating him in the portal room to the negative zone.
21. Psylocke — Exclusive to the Wii, PS2 & PSP versions.
22. Sentry — Exclusive to the DS version.
23. She-Hulk — Exclusive to the DS version.
24. Songbird — Unlockable by: selecting the Register side when faced with the choice.
25. Spider-Man
26. Storm
27. The Thing
28. Thor — Unlockable during gameplay by pressing: Up, Right, Right, Down, Right, Down, Left, Right, Start. OR by collecting all 5 Asgardian Runes.
29. Venom (Villain) — Unlockable by: beating him at the end of Wakanda Act 3.
30. Wolverine

* Stan Lee — Like his movie cameos. To quote him: “It’s such a kick to see characters that I’ve helped create come to life in the game and now I’m a part of the Marvel videogame universe!”
* The Vision — Originally rumored back in 2008, may be left out.

Sorry if I’m wrong about this, but I’m pretty sure the villain characters have NOT been confirmed to be playable yet.

It is no longer using the “fusion” subtitle. It has been announced that the game will follow the civil war storyline to some degree. There has also been talks about the ability to choose sides, how this will affect the line up of characters have not been confirmed.

id like to see gambit or rather be able to play as gambit….i still don’t know y hes missing from every damn marvel game……i don’t follow the comics so i guess that may be why he is not in the games i only watched the old cartoons where he was in it so to me hes an original x-men…..but idk

Nightcrawler has to be available for PS3 this time. If he isn’t, then I won’t buy this one either.
Oh, and Gambit.
Cannonball too.
Marrow also.
Why not just do a Super Smash Bros Brawl or whatever that kiddy game’s called and include all Marvel characters?
Or, at the very least, all X-men.
Except for Magma. She’s too annoying in X-men Legends.
