Level up by buying Square Enix games, starting with Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume
Square Enix has launched it’s a new “Experience Points” system (a rewards system basically) that allows users to “level-up” their Square-Enix.com avatar’s when they buy new games.
The first game to support this new system will be Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for the Nintendo DS.
Much like in the companies token RPGs, each game will be worth a certain amount of experience points and these points will determine the level of your avatar on the Square Enix official member’s site after said game is registered.
Although right now the points are only used for your avatar, Square Enix has hinted that additional prizes will be become available for those users who garner enough experience points.
Overall the system is similar to the Club Nintendo member’s system that Nintendo employs via it’s official web-site. Hopefully Square Enix gamers will soon be able to snag some cool swag and be awarded for purchasing new Square Enix games. Sounds like a win-win all around to me.
