PSP Store might get downloadable comics
Sony might add downloadable digital comics to the PlayStation Store on the PSP according to a recent survey in which they asked people what they would like to see in the form of digital comic distribution on the Sony handheld.
As per usual when these kind of surveys are concerned, people were asked general questions such as how much users would be willing to pay per comic, or if they’d be willing to opt into a subscription service where they’d pay a flat rate in exchange for the ability to download and read any comic on the service.
Sony seems to be very serious about this, they even provided a video showing how the service would work. Naturally you’d be able to access various viewing modes for reading the comics such as an “auto-flow” mode which jumps from panel to panel in sequential order (which would make the comics much easier to read for newbies).
Sony has stated that the video was just a mock-up and not a real thing, but they are obviously seriously considering it. What do you think about reading comics on the PSP and downloading them from the PSP Store? Good idea?
