People People there is only 1 way to settle this dispute as to who is the stronger character etc…. anyone want to engage in Mortal Kombat
can use my online ID … VictimZA (PS3) and we can play MK 2… I personally believe people who play with Liu Kang play with him cos his easy to play with and has a lot of cheap moves ie the low fireball
PS this is just my personal opinion…personally i think Scorpion and Subzero have always brought flavour to the series there ongoing feud reminds me of Stefano Demera from Days of our lives … that dude never dies… just like Scorpion and Subzero

Yeah bro liu kang is sick and all, but hes definately not the most important character in the series. In fact scorpion and sub-zero probably are. Liu kang was the main character in the movies because hes one of the only mortals. and it probably made it easier to create a story line. I could think of plenty of characters who are better then liu kang. Scorpion, sub zero, reptile, rain, ermac, smoke, cyrax, sektor, fujin, raiden, kenshi, dammit even kabal! haha

Me personally? …I like Reptile. He’s awesome! Plus Cyrax is pretty sweet… He needs more attention, IMO. lol Can’t wait to see what- And WHO- this game will hold! And if it DOES come out in December… I know what I want for Christmas! lol

Just because a couple Lui Kang fans say he’s more important/popular of a character doesn’t necessarily make it true.

Folks wanna root for who they are told to, fine. Imo, Lui Kang isn’t even interesting. The bicycle kick has got to be one of the gayest moves ever. Plus he’s a blatant and annoying Bruce Lee rip-off.

For some of those casual fans or old school fans that lost touch with the series because of the dramatic changes made to it, don’t all like him. Hell, some have given him the moniker “Lui Lame”.

Just compare him to other lead franchise heroes like Ryu from SF or Ken from Tekken. The followings they have aren’t even close in comparison.

There are just as many Sub fans and Scorpion fans. Even Kung Lao fans (*ahem*). Don’t assume you speak for everyone when it comes to who matters to them in the series.
