BlazBlue now coming to Xbox 360 and PS3

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
is the latest fighting game from Arc System Works (makers of the Guilty Gear franchise & spiritual successor to that series) and it’s coming soon to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 according with a release date aimed at this summer 2009 for both Japan and America.

In addition to everything offered in the arcade version of BlazBlue the console version will have an added story mode that includes individual storylines for each character as well as branching story arcs that are based on the battles you have won up to that point and the choices you made. The story mode will easily last 30 hours according to director Toshimichi Mori. The console version will also give all characters the ability to perform Astral Heat special moves which were reserved only for a select few boss characters in the arcade game.

Players can also look forward to online play in the console version of the game in addition to Downloadable Content (DLC) although specific plans on DLC have yet to be revealed.

A specific release date for the game has yet to be set.
