InstantAction can turn 3D retail game into browser-based game in weeks

Instant Action . . . In action

InstantAction has revealed it’s 3D browser-based game engine technology platform which they say will make it possible to play literally any PC game from Gears of War 2 to World of Warcraft right in your web-browser through their technology. And they are currently in talks with big-time publishers to get their PC games supported by the platform.

As Gigaom reports the game’s that InstantAction demoed were not well-known titles but were internally developed 3D games that they will be hosting on their site during it’s beta. He says they were impressive for what they were and covered genres from fast-paced FPS to flight combat games. All that’s required to play them is to go to the Instant Action web-site, download and install a small 150kb plug-in and then the downloaded game you want to play will start within minutes and allow you to play right on the web.

“Get in the game . . . Multiplayer online games and cross platform (PC and Mac) games all playable in your browser.”

“Game variety . . . A growing library of games across multiple genres: first person shooters, flight simulators, strategy, and more . . .”
