Katamari is rolling his puzzly way to DSi

A horde (i.e. three) of new DSi puzzle games and one new WiiWare title have been announced by Namco Bandai via the Weekly Famitsu Japanese magazine. The games will all debut on the DSi’s online DSiWare shop with the exception of the last WiiWare title.

Here is a short description of the games that were revealed.

* Korogashi Puzzle Katamari Damacy (March 25, 500 DSi Points): A falling-block game where you stack items up and then drop a katamari to sweep them all away at once. (Essentially, a port of Pac-Attack, an old Namco puzzle game, with a new Katamari graphical skin.)

* Moji Pittan Shiritori-Dokei (February 25, 200 DSi Points): A Japanese dictionary and clock with 130,000 words that also includes a quick little word-matching game.

* Mr. Driller (February 25, 800 DSi Points): A full-on reboot of Namco’s classic drill-’em-up puzzle action game, complete with three gameplay modes and a 17-stage story to play through.

* Mr. Driller World (February 24, 800 Wii Points): A new WiiWare title and the latest full-on Mr. Driller game, with 24 new stages to explore. No online multiplayer, sadly.

All the dates above are for Japan; no US announcements have been made yet.
