God of War 3 video shows gameplay. Kratos goes HD on PS3
The first gameplay footage from God of War 3 has dropped on the masses and it reveals some fantastically brutal combat that is exactly what you’d expect from the developers at Sony’s Santa Monica Studios.
After God of War, God of War 2 on PS2, and God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP, the Sony studio has crafted the first high definition Kratos adventure and will seek to bring the franchise to new heights using the power of the PlayStation 3.
To that end, the following trailer was built entirely with gameplay footage and is “several months old” according to God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen who has been extremely anxious to show off the game that they have been building. Although the trailer isn’t necessarily taken from the game, everything used to built it is, which means that they could absolutely 100% make this entire trailer into a section of the game and you’d never know the difference, from the resolution to the effects. Everything has just been scripted in a cinematic fashion.
