Take the following steps — either by reading or watching — to unlock each one.

Table of Contents

1. Akuma: After unlocking Sakura Kasugano, Dan Hibiki, Cammy White, Fei Long, Gen, and Rose. First finish the arcade mode (on any difficulty) with any character, in this case use that same character for this second or later playthrough. Then fight Akuma on arcade mode, to do that get: at least 1 perfect round on 1-round matches (or 2 perfects on 3-round matches / 3 perfects on 5-round matches / 4 perfects on 7-round matches) including the last battle against Seth. No ultra combo finishes needed. But you can’t lose any matches/rounds nor use a continue when you die. Beating Akuma will unlock him.

2. Cammy White: Finish the arcade mode with Crimson Viper. That will unlock her.

3. Dan Hibiki: Finish the arcade mode with Sakura Kasugano. That will unlock him.

4. Fei Long: Finish the arcade mode with Abel. That will unlock him.

5. Gen: Finish the arcade mode with Chun-Li. That will unlock him.

6. Gouken: After unlocking Akuma, Sakura Kasugano, Dan Hibiki, Cammy White, Fei Long, Gen, and Rose. First finish the arcade mode (on any difficulty) with Akuma, and watch (not necessary to watch everything) an ending. In this case to play also use a character you already finished arcade mode with, and with which you watched the ending once, for his/her second or later playthrough. Then fight Gouken on arcade mode, to do that get: at least 1 perfect round on 1-round matches (or 2 perfects on 3-round matches / 3 perfects on 5-round matches / 4 perfects on 7-round matches), plus at least 3 Super Combo or Ultra Combo Finishes on 1-round matches (or 5 super/ultra finishes on 3-round matches / 7 super/ultra finishes on 5-round matches / 9 super/ultra finishes on 7-round matches), and at least 5 First Attacks — meaning you must score the first strike in a match — in 1 match (or 10 first attacks in 3-round matches / 15 first attacks in 5-round matches / 20 first attacks in 7-round matches). But you can’t lose any matches/rounds nor use a continue when you die. Beating Gouken will unlock him.

if u can beat him 1st round heres the tips for the 2nd round dont stand near him when hes down on the ground or he will do that throw and if ur stuck on the 1st round and he keeps stealling your health double tap light punch will stop him

ur info on how to get some of the characters is wrong… I unlocked Akuma the same way it says on here…. but for Gouken i have seen at least 6 different ways on different sites to get him…. when i did what it said on this site i did not even c gouken.. so after trying and trying and trying here is how i finally got him… you need to get 1 perfect and 3 (not sure if you can do more then 3 cuz that was the number i did) and do not lose a round or use a continue…. you must have Akuma unlocked already…. for those who haven’t tried it yet set the rounds to one and the lvl to easiest. hope this was helpful

You definitely cannot beat Seth with the “easy” method. I’m with everyone else questioning the inclusion of this cheap boss. Even if I get a 90% to 10% advantage he just cheats to pull out a victory.

SETH is the cheapest boss in any fighting game ever. Period. He is a cheater too… in other words stuff that a human controlled character can not do… not because its hard but because the game will not allow it… he can do. Thats the definitition of cheap. Blocking? only if you have less health then him… once you are beating him he seams to go right through the same blocks that were working before. Also love when you use a focus attack on him, and already are doing the focus move after full charge, and last second he grabs you elbow and throws you in air… um… huh? I’m already 99% through with the focus process and actually my hand kinda already hit you… how does he not crumple? And again this happens when his healthy is at 30% or less, not when he has close to max health. Or how about when you do your ultimate move as he is coming down from a jump… meaning TOTALLY defenseless… and all of a sudden you see a big flash and K.O. because instead of your ultimate move connecting, he hit you with a shoryuken or whatever that uppercut is called… THATS annoying. Its like ok… when I started the cut scene you were STILL IN THE AIR COMING DOWN FROM A JUMP! How the hell did he then shyoryuken me out of my ultimate move@?@?@?@

I beat Seth on the hardest difficulty. Hes cheap, but he’s still A.I and has patterns you can exploit.
If you stand away from him he’ll either throw out a sonic boom or do that ground dhalsim punch, simply jump over them, kick him in the air, then immediately crouch and kick him to knock him down. Back away from him and repeat the process.
Always maintain distance, even when he teleports behind or in front of you, immediately leap away until he sonic booms or punches.
