It seems like we have been hearing about Sony’s Flower for a while now, but finally the game’s release is nearly upon us. The game comes out today, February 12th, 2009 for download exclusively on the PlayStation Network.
Developed by ThatGameCompany (a small company of only 5 people) the game is a unique title unlike anything you’ve seen before as you guide the breeze and some flower peddles through the air of beautiful environments, filling them with vibrant color as you pollinate other flowers spread across the vast field environments.
The game is about as abstract as they come but seems to have appeal that goes beyond genders and play-styles so that anyone can enjoy its beautiful simplicity. Get a look at the behind-the-scenes production of the game in this developer diary.
