Dynasty Warriors 7 will be better than 6, says creator

The official Koei UK website did a video interview with the creator of Dynasty Warriors 6, producer Takashi Morinaka from Koei’s internal development team Omega Force. The next game in the series, the Dynasty Warriors 7 hint, is quoted below. But another sequel won’t come as a surprise to long-time fans of the Hack-and-Slash series.

Question: Are you satisfied with how Dynasty Warriors 6 turned out?
Answer: “I believe that we as developers have only begun to scratch the surface of what can be done with this new generation of consoles. Dynasty Warriors 6 has advanced in many areas and is the best we can do at this time. Still, fans [of the main Dynasty Warriors series] can look forward to even better games in the future.”

Here’s the interview with him answering questions about Dynasty Warriors 6 and at the end hinting at Dynasty Warriors 7.

Bring back gate captains!! Dw2 .. Take gates and stem the flow of there troops more stratergy to it then. You generals being as good as the enemys would be nice istead of only lastin 2 mins when you tell em to hold some were!!

I hope the game is more like 3 and 5. Those are the best. All my cousins agree. They are from ages 12-18. Please include captains and make it like 5 or 3 or i might not buy anymore games of the dynasty warrior series

Make the character moves like 3-5 and bring back everything and add new battles like the one with Ma Teng and others that was involve in war

I really enjoyed the old dynasty warriors games, and i did also with 6. I do agree with the other comments also with the gate captains and all that stuff. Also, with the fighting moves….could u make it more tactical and advanced…rather than just tapping square

ok this is all im gonna say
-bodyguards/luitenats(whatever lol)
-more cut out scenes
-more musou
-Empire mode
-customize land,map and kingdom, also officer
-better endings
-old weapons(didnt like new ones)
-Use AAALLL characters please:)(loved NANMAN)
-use the pirate stages again, they were mad
-gate captains, also bases
-mentioned officers, can we also use the lil officers like the smaller generals such as hua xiong, gao shun, xu rong etc etc that was mad in empires
AND THATS IT, also i hope 7 is mad, coz i love DW series, my fave game thanks…

* Bring back the characters that they had in 5 (including Da Qiao).
* Turn He Jin into a playable character.
* They need a character with a “Whip” weapon (giving Zhen Ji and Diao Chan their weapons back).
* Da Qiao should have a different weapon, seeing as she is older than Xiao Qiao.
* When Generals are killed all their troops run off, they need to remove this. Make it so that you need to defeat everyone on the map (excluding your own units).
* Important officers need to have their own characters. For example, turning Chen Gong (Lu Bu’s strategist into his own character). Others include Liu Chan, Guo Si, Zhang Bao. Etc etc.
* Try and make sure that everyone has their OWN storyline.
* Give everyone their weapons back. No double-ups.

more interactive battle field, seige weapons, the option of changing weapons,the ability to walk throught your territory would be nice. i say they make a next gen dynasty warriors while keeping the dw feel to it. idk put war elephants back. lol set traps and realistic ambushes. be able to capture or kill with a mini cut scene or something. make a strategic control layout while pressing L1 because they took out bows. be able to hold a base by shooting stuff out while the enemy tries to brake in by causing damage to the gate. even use boats to travel through the field or even battles on or with ships. set up mini camps. better battle field advantages like weather and terrain bring all maps back from dw 1-6 and fix them up. instead or picking cards have a meeting with a council and discuss what you should do. be able to interact with civilians to see whats up or be evil and start attacking them and have all the nations target u down for a bounty. the strongest army would be the main target. even select what type of ruler u want to be..greedy, power hungry, peace keeper. theres so much they can do to upgrade the game. these are just some examples but im pretty sure everyone who plays dw can find some way to upgrade the game

This is some help:
Try to incorperate finding weapon boxes and the renbu rank system
Da Qiao could have an parasol like okuni on sw
Keep sun shang xiang with a bow and try to get other ranged characters
keep zhang he with claws
everyone was own storyline
no double ups weapon wise
peraps more stategy element to game by being able to cause (set of) ambushes fire attacks and floods
and Edit mode
