Dynasty Warriors 7 will be better than 6, says creator

The official Koei UK website did a video interview with the creator of Dynasty Warriors 6, producer Takashi Morinaka from Koei’s internal development team Omega Force. The next game in the series, the Dynasty Warriors 7 hint, is quoted below. But another sequel won’t come as a surprise to long-time fans of the Hack-and-Slash series.

Question: Are you satisfied with how Dynasty Warriors 6 turned out?
Answer: “I believe that we as developers have only begun to scratch the surface of what can be done with this new generation of consoles. Dynasty Warriors 6 has advanced in many areas and is the best we can do at this time. Still, fans [of the main Dynasty Warriors series] can look forward to even better games in the future.”

Here’s the interview with him answering questions about Dynasty Warriors 6 and at the end hinting at Dynasty Warriors 7.

What would you like to see in Dynasty Warriors 7?

please tell them to include a vs mode for dw7 like a 1v1 like player 1 vs player 2. and also include duels in freemode and musou mode like in dynasty warrior 4. they missed that out in 5 and 6. and make it for pc too pleaseeee!!

I think u should add a character disiner on DW7. Also make it a bit easier to open new caracters that would be nice. I also think y’all should make a DW colecters game that way players can enjoy the games they haven’t played. Other than that… The DW games are the best fighting games and I hope that y’all keep making the games.

i think that in mosou mode you can use all the characters, like what they did on dynasty warriors 5.coz it was very limited on dynasty warriors 6. and deffo more characters. please.

I want Jiang Wei and Xing Cai and Zuo Ci, from Dynasty Warriors 5 back. As well as some of the character models from DW 5. Also I want some of the old weapons back, since Diao Chans and the weapon of the word ark man from the Shu Clan weren´t fitting to their characters. Also I think there should be more playable Story lines since those from DW 6 were cool, like the Story of Lu Bu, but there were too few of them.

i think that they should let u make ambush parties in free mode so it would be better. also keep the old weapons coz wat on earth did

i think that they should make the story modes deeper, telling the actual story of every caracter and that each one should have a diferent variety of weapons and movesets…

i think take em back to the old weapon. maybe have lu bu be able to switch between 2 1hdrs or the 1 2hdr. also i thinks take wei yan back to how he was back in teh old days of dw4. he was a champion then, not as cool now

remember the duels from DW4? those were fun. id like to see more of those in the upcoming games

Please bring back the special weapons, that would be friggin sweet, not the level up weapons either, the good ol’ find-em-by-doing-something-badass method like in DW3, thanks!

Oh and stack that game clean full of playable story mode characters not just like 6 characters per dynasty, make it like 14
