First Dead Rising 2 trailer leaked. Game announced for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Dead Rising 2 has been revealed by Capcom in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and starring an all-new character apparently in place of Frank West.

The sequel to the million-selling first Dead Rising and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Dead Rising 2 introduces literally thousands of new zombies to swarm the new “gambling paradise” of Fortune City where players must explore and conquer with a host of new in-game objects that can be used as deadly weapons to keep the flesh-starved savages at bay.

The storyline takes place several years after the original zombie invasion of Williamette and in typical Resident Evil-style (and no surprise from Capcom), the virus has now spread throughout the United States in a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike the populace.

Dead Rising 2 will be developed by Blue Castle Games who will be working alongside developers who worked on the first game from Capcom, including Keiji Inafune (creator of Mega Man and Onimusha and the original Dead Rising) who will be the producer on this new project and play an active role in it’s development.
