New Robert Ludlum Bourne game being made by EA and Starbreeze

Jason Bourne will return to videogames thanks to EA

Electronic Arts is working on an all new Jason Bourne videogame based not on the films but rather on the books published by author Robert Ludlum for unspecified platforms.

The game is being developed by Starbreeze, known for their work on The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and The Darkness, reports Eurogamer.

The films that you know Jason Bourne from (The Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum) are only loosely based on the books though, and in addition to that Ludlum also released several other thrillers before his 2001 death, so EA could potentially draw from a wealth of material when making this and any other upcoming video games.

In addition it was announced last February that EA and Starbreeze were working on an “incredibly innovative take on a classic EA property” which was codenamed “Project RedLime”, that game is apparently still under development by Starbreeze, with the new Bourne title being a completely separate entity as told to EuroGamer.
