Space Invaders Extreme 2 rumored at import store
Taito’s extremely popular revival of the Space Invaders franchise known as Space Invaders Extreme may be getting a sequel.
Space Invaders Extreme 2 has been listed on Play-Asia’s web-site store, and while that is not official confirmation by any means, many times retailers tip their hand on games that have yet to be announced, so it could very well mean that Taito is making a sequel. And why wouldn’t they? Space Invaders Extreme is an awesome game that was recieved very well critically when it was released for the DS and PSP in June of last year.
Additionally, Taito is releasing Space Invaders Extreme on Xbox Live Arcade sometime this year (and possibly for PlayStation Network as well).
Wikipedia has Space Invaders Extreme 2 listed as having a release date of March 26th, 2009 in Japan.
