BloodRayne 3 game not coming? Yet a third movie is still being planned for 2009

During his 2008 AFM chat with Andrew Kasch, B-movie director Uwe Boll revealed that he’s still planning on shooting the BloodRayne 3 movie at some point in the near future. In fact, the IMDB has set the release date for TBA in 2009. According to Dreadcentral, Mr. Boll said the movie will not follow the original game’s sequel, BloodRayne 2, setting and he does instead still plans on it taking place during WWII, which was actually where the first game was set.

Now that we’re talking about BloodRayne sequels. It might be interesting to note that the games series’ publisher Majesco hasn’t announced any plans for a BloodRayne 3 on Xbox 360, PS3 or PC this year. Their so far announced lineup consists almost entirely out of games aimed at a casual audience (opposed to BloodRayne’s Mature nature) like: Major Minor’s Majestic March (Wii), Gardening Mama (DS), Our House (Wii), Dawn of Heroes (DS) and Puffins (DS).

Why are we so sure BloodRayne 3 will be made? The comments developer Terminal Reality made about a BloodRayne 3 game confirm as much. They had the following spoiler-filled words to say on Wikipedia: “We planned the ending to allow a transition into the third game, which would pit the vampire council (seen in the first scene of the FMV) against Rayne and her newly conquered city, with the militaristic Brimstone fighting both and turning the battle into a three way conflict. We were hoping to make this on the PS3/360 when they came out [in 2005-2006] and wanted the game to feature a much higher level of destruction with battles where Rayne fights up to a hundred enemies.” That’s the last we heard from them.

For the hopefuls, there’s that, AND BloodRayne 2 obviously had an open ending (video below) that showed that not just Rayne and Severin, but also The Shroud and the Brimstone Society are still around. Watch that ending here:

BOLL MAKING BLOODRAYNE 3 AND OTHER MOVIES.

Uwe Boll is making the Bloodrayne sequel
and also he is working on other movies,Boll should make another video game movie with Ninja Assault with a low budget action with a Big Trouble In Little China storyline and ninjas shooting demons.
Ninja Assault could be a good movie for Boll and Hollywood to screw up.

Do you know how freakin long i’ve been waiting for a 3rd game. OMFG LOL I love the game…..the movie on the other hand….wasn’t so fond of, but I still watched it cause I’m a freakin fan …lol

I definetely enjoyed the games, and totally look forward to a 3rd! And let’s be honest here, Bloodrayne is F’ng hot! LoL But I agree with Brian about the movies. They kinda blew. . . alot. And as for the guy who made them (Uwe Boll, I think it’s spelled?), he should be publically executed as an example of horrible game-to-film adaptaters. ie. Alone In The Dark; Weak story, pointless sex scene, and bad acting on Kevin Costner’s part. At least it had decent CG effects and a few good songs on the sounds track LoL But yeah, Bloodrayne 3. . . bring it on! >:D

I have never understood why there hasn’t been a Bloodrayne 3 yet. The first two games were so good and like so many I waited year after year for the 3rd game. I have played the first two games more than twice now; they are just games one never gets tired of playing. The movies,I agree were weak, the story lines could have been better. And I guess I was expecting someone to play Rayne who would do her justice. Can’t deny she is super hot in the games. It is my hope it will be realized how many of us there are so wanting a Bloodrayne 3 and will get it out to us to enjoy soon.

I`m sure they will make a third game…after all …there are so many fans waiting…they don`t want to disappoint them.I Kinda hope the third game to be longer then the second ,and also have a liiittle bit of so called “free wolrd” the second game was too much strictly following the “road”

I think Bloodrayne 3 for consoles would be a great idea… and maybe add an open ended city landscape like GTA where you travel to the locations in your own time…

I am a BloodRayneFan…Really.I chose the rayne’s symbol for every thing,and i use it.I can’t write very much things of bloodrayne because i am a romanian and i am not very good at english.and…I hope they do make BloodRayne 3 or a new BloodRayne,but the platform is PC(Now in Summer of 2011 the creators of bloodrayne is make BloodRayne Betrayal:)But the platform is just on XBOX AND PSP3:(((((((((really socks.I want a new game of blood rayne on PC.
