Mario and Luigi 3 trailer reveals extensive gameplay footage in fantastic form
Nintendo has released an extensive new trailer for the upcoming “Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!!” (yes, that’s THREE exclamation points) DS game which is the latest title in Alpha Dreams FANTASTIC role-playing series starring the dynamic duo.
Like the last game (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time), this one will make extensive use of the abilities of the DS in some truly unique ways. Not only does it do that, but it also introduces Bowser as a PLAYABLE character in some truly awesome and very fun looking scenes as you can see in the trailer below.
One instance has Mario & Luigi trapped inside of Bowser’s belly. Like usual, you can switch control between a number of different characters, in this case Mario & Luigi on the bottom touch-screen and Bowser on top. You must then use a fountain next to Bowser to drink water that will fill his belly with water on the bottom screen so that Mario & Luigi can swim around. As Bowser pulls away from drinking too much water the water on the bottom screen will drain. It is this kind of dynamic gameplay that really puts this series above all others in my book.
