Sith Obi-Wan Kenobi was part of cancelled Free Radical’s Star Wars Battlefront III
Some new artwork has been revealed for Free Radical Design’s defunct project Star Wars Battlefront III that reveals a very cool looking Sith Obi-Wan Kenobi!
It’s unknown if the original concept art for the character was canon to the series, which means that it has to be approved first by Star Wars mastermind George Lucas, but the images reveal a startling version of Obi Wan who has been corrupted by the temptations of the Dark Side and made evil.
He has a hunched form, glowing red lightsaber, and his famous robe by Alec Guinness has been tattered and torn.
Here are some official notes on details of the character:
* Tatters rags for clothes, like Yoda’s but more decayed.
* Yellowed teeth and claw like nails
* Relics and artifacts with strong dark side resonance kept in pouches and threaded through his clothes.
* Belts and straps made from Krayt dragon leather
* Fur lining from Wampa slain on his travels
* Mayny layers of robes, cloaks and cloth mask his shriveled wiry frame.
* Mostly a hermit, Dark Obiwan wanders searching for places and things with strong connections to the dark side.
As far as Star Wars Battlefront III’s development goes, it’s unknown whether the game will ever see release or whether one of the two rumored companies to be carrying on the project, Rebellion Developments and Pandemic Studios, are even working on it or not.
