Resident Evil 5 intro trailer whets the appetite. Demo up now on Xbox Live

Pre-Order Resident Evil 5 on Xbox 360Capcom has released a JAW DROPPING trailer for Resident Evil 5 (release date is set for March 13 on Xbox 360 and PS3 in North America & Europe) that will not only whet the appetite of die-hard fans but send their anticipation reeling through the roof with what is quite possibly the greatest thing a fan could hope for . . . But you’ll just have to watch the trailer in order to find it out. Suffice it to say that I knew HE would be in the game but I did not know it would be THIS AWESOME. Behold (warning: includes spoilers):

Back? Did you wipe that drool off your desk?

If you are hankering to give the game a shot yourself, the Resident Evil 5 demo is up now for download on Xbox Live for those Xbox 360 owners who are Gold members. If you only have an Xbox Live Silver Membership you will have to wait a week before you can get your hands on the demo.

As for you PlayStation 3 folks, you’ll have to wait until February 2nd before you can get your shaking-from-anticipation-and-jealousy hands on the demo. But don’t hate on Capcom too much for leaving you out in the cold, they are so intent on getting the demo out that they will actually be releasing it on a MONDAY rather than the typical PSN release of Thursday.

The demo (which is 478 MB) will allow you to play through two full levels from the game and is playable in both single-player and multiplayer co-op so that you can go through the demo with a buddy. You can even go to xbox.com and add the demo to your download queue from your computer if you are so inclined (if you’re at work, school, or the like), which I must say is a feature that I didn’t know existed. Thanks Kotaku!
