Guitar Hero: Metallica release date is March 29, 2009

Guitar Hero: Metallica has been given a release date of March 29th this year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, according to Metallica’s official web-site.

The game will include 28 tracks from the legendary band as well as guest appearances from Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters and Slayer among others who influenced Metallica in one way or another.

As far as the Wii and PlayStation 2 are concerned, they will also be getting a version of Guitar Hero: Metallica but it will not be coming until around May or some other time in the Spring.

Metallica is the latest game from Neversoft and Activision to take the Guitar Hero brand and link it to a specific band. The previous game to do that was Guitar Hero: Aerosmith which was released last year for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC and PS2.
