Rock Band 3 release not until 2010
Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos spoke a CES 2009 conference, saying that the developer won’t be releasing a Rock Band 3 game in 2009.
To quote him, the developer has deliberately chosen to “break out of the annual release cycle for Rock Band this year.” He continued: “[This is] partly because the annual cycle places limits on the choices you can make as a developer. We’re trying to take a long term view.”
My guess would be they opted to instead release ‘Rock Band: The Beattles‘ for this year’s holiday season music-game lovers.
