MySims Racing and MySims Party for Wii and DS announced by EA

MySims Racing for Wii and DS

Electronic Arts has announced two new MySims games for Wii and DS: MySims Party and MySims Racing.

Although the games are about as predictable as they come (one is a mini-game collection the other is a cart racer) the game’s still look like they will be fun and “quality” product for what they are going for, even if they are derivative.

MySims Party will feature 50 mini-games which have you doing a variety of activities from snowboarding to chopping wood to racing. This one looks much less fun than racers if you ask me . . . . And does the Wii REALLY need more party games?

MySims Racing on the other hand includes four-player split-screen support and online play via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and will allow players to build their own car and race with a variety of characters from the MySims games. One of the power-ups looks particularly cool as it literally flips the race-track upside down.

The sad reality is that EA has to push these kind of easy cash-in titles in order to help their bottom-line, as “core” games like Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space sadly did not live up to their sales expectations. As a result, we get titles like these two. In other words, GO OUT AND BUY GOOD GAMES!!!!!!!
