Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom 2 talked about by Capcom producer
It seems that Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom 2 is already being discussed among the internal powers-that-be at Capcom, including the producer of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.
The anime-character vs game-character fighter is the latest game in the “Capcom VS” series (others including Marvel Vs. Capcom and Capcom Vs SNK) and has it’s own legion of fans who hope and pray the game comes to the U.S., which it may not due to licensing concerns and the fact that it’s characters aren’t well known outside of Japan.
Regardless, that hasn’t stopped Capcom from already considering a sequel, even though the producer has stated that he hopes the game will sell better as the New Year comes around (it was released in Japan on December 11th for Wii).
In addition a list has been put out that shows what characters Capcom was considering including but didn’t add for one reason or another. Here is the list.
Tatsunoko Side
- Condor no Joe
- Yattaman #2
- Shurato
- Soul Taker
- Nakahara Komugi

- Beruku Katsue
- Tekkaman Evil

Update: On May 20, 2011, the developers said that a Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom 2 for Wii was unlikely, but there is a possibility it could come to other platforms. Although Capcom’s Christian Svensson said specifically that he “wasn’t prepared to speak about what the future could hold” for the series. He then said that E3 2011 doesn’t hold any shocking news for fans but would futher elaborate on what has already been announced. Sounds like Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom 2 isn’t coming anytime soon, eh.
