Prince of Persia 5 will continue from Prince of Persia 4’s ending

Prince of Persia 5 fake boxartAfter the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Trilogy last generation, it’s no surprise developer Ubisoft would want to repeat that success formula with the recent Prince of Persia 4 release by making Prince of Persia 5 to follow up on the new storyline.

Obvious spoilers aside, their intentions have been confirmed by a cliff-hanger ending paving the way for another Xbox 360, PS3 & PC game in the series. Here’s what happens: After the Prince sees that Elika’s sealing away of the evil Ahriman means she must transfer her own life into the tree, which results in her dying again. He sees only one course of action remaining and cuts down the tree of life, just like Elika’s father the King did, in order to bring her back to life. Then a cutscene shows the Prince carrying Elika away from the crumbling Temple out into the desert, while behind them, the Temple is destroyed and the surrounding land corrupted as Ahriman is fully released. At the same time an achievement is unlocked titled “To Be Continued…” which is described as, and I quote: “Congratulations, the game is complete… the story has only just begun…”

You can watch a video recording of the ending below (it’s the only ending, there are no alternatives) and judge for yourself how likely another Prince of Persia game is.

As you know, back in February 2009, Prince of Persia received downloadable content in the shape of an “Epilogue”. The video below will show that at the end Elika says bye to the Prince. This is the conversation they have that further hints at a sequel coming up.
Prince: “We’re through… I think we’re clear.”
Elika: “I couldn’t heal him. Ahriman was too strong…”
Prince: “Just because he’s growing stronger doesn’t mean – ”
Elika: ” – If I couldn’t stop him now, how can I ever hope to?! Ahriman is free and he will only grow more powerful…”
Prince: “We have to get out of here. If we cross the desert, there’s a city two, three days from here. Or, there’s a port… it’s further, but we could cross the sea, find somewhere further away.”
Elika: “Go where you will. May Ormazd watch over you.”
Prince: “Elika? You can’t do this alone!”
Elika: “I know… that is why I must find my people.” *Elika flies away*
Prince: “Elika!”
Narrator (Ahriman?): “The wheel turns… You cannot stand in its way… The light is dimming… It’s dimming…”

OMG WTF is wrong wit all u noobs i mean like yea theres sick combos in POP4 But Oldstyle sands of time trilogy is Definatly worthy enough to kik this series ass cuz if u ask me Sands of time trilogys prince Was far more epic then this one tehy shoulds just continued from the two thrones they coulda done it easily i mean the emperess dropped the amulet of time which was origonaly 1 of the 3 items that could control time so it coulda easily have been found And BAM another POP game wich coulda been just as intence or more intence then this game So all of u POP noobz should all go in a corner and cry urself to sleep cuz sands of time is the way it should be.

I think alot of the POP trilogy fans will agree with me when i say that I truly loved the Prince of persia trilogy, but i feel that POP 5 is a real shame, i mean were’s all the passion and intensity gone? The whole story that POP 1,2, and 3 gave was brilliant, i couldnt get enough. Yea in real life you couldn’t run that far across a wall and get stabbed that many times….BUT….it did give of this wonderful realisticness to it, ( unlike POP 5 ) The new POP is a shame because there is no real thrill, and to be honest, its turned into a kinda like “magical, childish kiddies game.” I truly hope that the Ubisoft company will return back to the old version of POP and carry on the amaizing tale. And another thing is the graphics? What’s happend? I reali….REALI….dont want the POP games to turn into a final fantasy kind of thing, because thats what its doing. Please, scrap the POP % and carry on with the Trilogy version….plz……

HEY GUYS… Ahriman said whispering… that the temple will loose his force… because if the last Ahura die… the power will be drown of the temple with the time… THATS ITS THE REASON … the prince destroy de tree again, for two reasons… First he was angry and sad… too many sacrifices for nothing, Orzmad? Maybe in an island in Bahamas xD. And the other reason was the meaning of the whispers of Ahriman… YEA YEA I KNOW MY ENGLISH AND SPELL SUCKS xD but i want to try it, and explain the end.
