Monster Hunter G also coming to Wii
Capcom has announced Monster Hunter G will be coming the Wii as revealed by Japanese magazine Famitsu.
Even though the first Monster Hunter Wii game has yet to be released (Monster Hunter 3) that won’t stop Capcom from milking the lucrative phenomenon of a franchise for all it’s worth.
Monster Hunter G for the Wii is pretty much a direct port of the original Monster Hunter G which was released for the PS2 in 2005 and was itself an upgraded version of the original 2004 Monster Hunter PS2 game. The updates included additional G-level quests and a new weapon class.
Monster Hunter G for the Wii will have very few upgrades over previous versions. It uses the Classic Controller exclusively (meaning you won’t be doing motion controls with the Wii Remote & Nunchuck) and will feature 16:9 Widescreen support as well as the ability to send purchased items from shops direcly to your home. The game does support online play but it’s not known at this time if it will be free or paid.
The game is scheduled for release in Spring of 2009 in Japan.
