PSP-4000 version coming in 2009. PSP2 rumored to follow later
It seems like the PSP 3000 may not be Sony last PSP upgrade. Reports have stated that Sony plans to follow-up the PSP 3000 with a PSP 4000 in late 2009.
Sony would then follow that up with the actual next-gen update, the PSP2, later on (so it would be around 2010 or so).
In fact, developers are reportedly already hard at work on PSP2 games.
This is all rumor of course, but it’s coming from Eurogamer so it can probably be taken with a little less than a grain of salt considering how natural a course of action it would be for Sony to upgrade their PSP system again before doing the next-gen version of their popular PlayStation Portable system.
