Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut announced for Wii and DS by Ubisoft

Ubisoft has confirmed that they are releasing an updated version of their classic point-and-click adventure game, Broken Sword, for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii, titled Broken Sword: Director’s Cut.

The game will include a number of additions and enhancements over previous versions of the game including lots of new and additional content such as: new puzzles, new locations and an expanded story, controls that are re-done for both the Wii and the DS to take advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck’s motion controls and the touch-screen and duel display of the DS, and new animations done by Dave Gibbons of Watchmen fame.

The game is being developed by Revolution and published by Ubisoft. The game does not yet have a release date for the United States but it will be coming to Europe in March of 2009.
