Sony has a surprise for those SingStar fans who own SingStar for PS3. A new update will allow you to play any of your PlayStation 2 Singstar games via the PS3 version!
This arriving right in time for not only the holiday season but also the anniversary of the release of SingStar on the PlayStation 3.
The update is free and will allow people who have yet to upgrade to the PS3 version of the game to be safe in the knowledge that all their PS2 SingStar discs will work on the PS3 and if you already own the PS3 version you can be happy to know that you can now go back and play any of your old PlayStation 2 SingStar discs.
All you’ll need to do is connect to PlayStation Network to download the update. Once it’s downloaded (automatically), you’re good to go. Start your SingStar PS3 session as normal by loading any SingStar PS3 disc – then, you’ll be able to swap it for any PS2 disc for the rest of the session.
