C.O.R.E. trailer shows first-person blasting gameplay for DS
C.O.R.E. is an upcoming first-person shooter exclusively for DS that’s scheduled for release on December 16th in America.
As you can tell via the gameplay trailer below, the game plays like a Quake-style monster hunting FPS, although I have to say that it still looks quite fun and good for a DS game.
The story begins in the year 2028, when a massive meteor impacts California’s Mojave Desert. Over the next two decades, an underground research facility is built to examine the extra-terrestrial origins and the bizarre effects that the meteor is having on the natural environment and the people who come in contact with it. The game takes place twenty years after the meteor’s arrival on earth, 2048, when all communications are lost with the C.O.R.E. facility.
In addition to single-player play, the game will also offer four-player multiplayer play both offline and online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Three modes are supported including death match, team arena and capture the flag. And as you can see, it looks almost exactly like Quake III Arena. Which is definitely not a bad thing.
