Grand Theft Auto 4: Lost and Damned has been revealed as the Xbox 360-exclusive Downloadable Content episode and is scheduled for release on February 17, 2009.
You may recall that one of the major selling points of the Xbox 360 version of the game was Microsoft’s ability to snag exclusive downloadable episodes from the paws of Sony (the game was originally going to appear just on the PS3) and now finally, six months later, the first details of the new episode, titled “Lost and Damned”, has been revealed.
The episode will feature a new main character and a new plot that intersects with the storyline of Grand Theft Auto IV. The new mission will offer a fresh way to explore Liberty City and will include new multiplayer modes, weapons, vehicles and a diverse soundtrack with new music that will what you expect from the GTA team.
“Making these episodes has enabled us to expand the narrative and the experience of interacting with a game world in really innovative ways,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We hope fans of the game enjoy the new way of experiencing life in Liberty City contained in this first episode.”
The Lost and Damned main character is The Lost Biker gang member Johnny Klebitz, who Rockstar described as being “very different” from the star of the main game, Niko Bellic, who will make cameo appearances in the game but will only be a background character.
“I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released,” said Rockstar Games vice president of creative development Dan Houser. “But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City.”
“We feel like we’ve only scratched the surface in terms of depth and detail,” Houser said.
Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter said to expect the new episode to cost up to $20, and he expects Rockstar to be able to sell between 2 and 3 million downloads.

Better graphics on the 360, you fanboys really do need your eyes tested, or buy a decent telly! 2009 will be the year for Sony, im not too bothered that this is only exclusive to xbox, with games like killzone 2, uncharted 2, god of war 3, the list goes on, you can keep your 360’s because come a couple of years time they will be gathering dust. Like they say: “good things come to those who wait”. Totally agree with lad_ova_ere tho where is the loyalty for the company that helped build the rockstar franchise!!
Come on I have both the ps3 and the 360 im telling u right now that the 360 and the ps3 are very similar in graphics.
This Is Shit, Make It For PS3, XBOX 360 Sucks Shit, Badly.
LOL all you tards that spent $600+ on your PS3’s! I dropped about $250 for my 360 and I still get all the new content. Sucks for you guys, none of you get any of the Halo’s either or Forza. I pity the fools.
The Xbox is awesome I’ve tried other peoples’ PS3’s and I don’t see why you would be willing to pay more for something that is marginally better in terms of graphics at best. If you really care that much about how dark the color black is on your game then go ahead drop a few hundred dollars more lol!
does any one think that they will do lost and damned dlc content on ps3 because they could do if sony digs in well
like xbox is fun said why spend so much more money for marginal increase in graphics all my friends have 360s only one has a ps3 yet barely plays it coming round to play gta4 online (360) instead as there are more people online and more games 360 4EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!down with ps3
