1. To unlock Darkseid: Finish the DC Universe side of the story mode. Then hold down the RB button (on Xbox 360) / R1 button (on PS3) on the character select screen to play as Darkseid. (He has no Heroic Brutalities.)

2. To unlock Shao Kahn: Finish the Mortal Kombat side of the story mode. Then hold down the RB button (on Xbox 360) / R1 button (on PS3) on the character select screen to play as Shao Kahn. (He has no Fatalities.)

Random Character Select Code: To have the game choose a character for you at random, on the character select screen, you must hold Up on the D-pad and press the Start button.
