I think that you will still play as Hale except you will turn evil and will also kill humans. There could be two campaigns hero campaign-where you are a new hero and eventuall y destroy Hale, and a villain campaign where you destroy all of America when you play as Nathan Hale. Should have lots of new weapons and new beserks for online mode.
Go back to the same weapon system as resistance fall of man. So when you get a weapon you get to keep it, instead of you can only have 2 weapons at a time. The one in fall of man is much better because you can pretty much never run out of ammo. Definitely need the fall of man weapon system.

I think I have some good evidence to say that hale is alive. when searching on the net I found out that cloven were made by humans taking in ancient chimera DNA. I also found out that hale was injected with a type of chimeran DNA during the two years missed out after the first R2 level. Also, after Reading a coop intel, it said that a cloven was hit by 40 bullets and still lived. This all leads to the conclusion that maybe hale became a cloven, and therefore survided the bullet to the head.

Sorry about the lack of news guys. I’ll update this page again when there’s something to report. But I imagine that’s going to be a while, unless the developers of this sequel get chatty in a new interview. I’ll keep my eyes out for that.

No one has talked in ages so I thought I would. I think the cloven will make an appearance in r3 and be an important part of the story. The ancient species that malikov talks about should also be included somehow. In my opinion it’s too hard to guess a storyline because of all the factors so I’m just looking forward to R3. Can’t wait!

To be honest R2 was awesome i havnt played R1 yet, and i think that most people here are right, Hale is alive, R3 will be made and out sometime next year, maybe he will be evil
you never know but there will be a R3 or they wuldnt have ended it like the way they did
