First Quantum Theory PS3 trailer
Quantum Theory is an upcoming shooter from Tecmo for the PS3.
The game looks to be very similar to Gears of War and will feature two characters named Syd and Fillena who are tasked with fighting through a “living tower” that’s swarming with monsters, both big and small.
Like Gears of War 2, the game features a cover system whose unique “hook” is due to the living tower and the fact that cover will appear and disappear as the level changes, adding an interesting dimension to the combat.
In the first trailer for the game from the Tokyo Game Show 2008, you can see what the team is aiming at with their new game. You can also see that it, indeed, looks like Tecmo’s take on Gears of War . . . with very little differences. Although it’s hard to tell due to the simple fact that this new trailer looks to be all CG, and may not be representative of actual gameplay.
