Far Cry 2 cheat codes to unlock extra missions. Guide to find the golden AK-47 location and special machete

Get the extra Far Cry 2 bonus extra missions by entering cheat codes in the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of this new FPS game.

Enter these case-sensitive cheat codes in the extras menu, by going to the Additional Content option and clicking on Sponsor/Promotional Code. These will unlock the Special Missions titled: The Georgian, The Bolivian, Special Delivery, and Le Français.

Do it right and the game will tell you that “You have successfully unlocked the missions.”
How to start the missions?: When you start a new game or continue a saved game, you can press on the Start button to pause the game, and display the Map Legend Menu. From here you can see the Special Mission Envelop. Play the tutorial and a few missions and you’ll get a call from a distorted voice that sends you on your “predecessor’s tracks”. Now look at the map legend to see the envelop location and go there. Enjoy!

There are rumored to be 8 golden AK-47 guns hidden around the huge Far Cry 2 map. As the linked map shows, here’s one place to get one. Supposedly the Gold AK’s NEVER wear down or jam.

Get the special machetes: Start the game with a connection to Xbox Live. At the main menu, select the Additional Content option. Choose the Exclusive Content selection, then login with your Ubisoft account information or create a new account. After the game connects to the Ubisoft servers to verify your information, the message “Account linking complete! Thank you for linking your Ubisoft account to your Xbox Live Gamertag. Special Machete. Unlock Special Machete” will appear.

Then press A to unlock the special machete. The message “The exclusive content was successfully unlocked” will appear. Return to the main menu. Select Options, then select Game. A new Machete Type option will appear. You now have access to the Homemade/Modern and Primitive machetes on the current profile. The machetes are cosmetic and don’t play any differently than the default machete.

Location of a Golden AK47

After you meet the Jackal at the prison, you escape, and will get to place, where you are told the way is rough. You will be going down hill, at one point you come upon a group of the enemy you can view from a rock out cropping. After killing them, you continue one down a trail and will come to a safe house. After the safe house following the trail, you will come upon three enemies, at the Heart of Darkness Swamp. There will be a small waterfall, on the right, go past this a little ways, and you come to a fallen tree on the right, that you can go across the swamp to a rock ledge. On the Left you will find a golden AK47, to the right a health pack. Patrick

None of the codes worked for me. I am in Australia. Understand these codes are only for games sold in the States.
Usual American “fair play” rules I suppose!
