Saints Row 3 confirmed to be in the works at Volition. Release date expected in 2010

Did you know the story of the Saints Row series was originally written as a trilogy? Developer Volition’s associate producer Dan Sutton has revealed that they are already working on Saints Row 3.

In a recent interview he said that “Saints Row 3 will take a very different direction,” and that that’s why Saints Row 2 wraps up most of the loose-ends left over from the original Saints Row’s story. To quote: “In Saints Row 2 we tie-up a lot of loose ends. I think we tie it up deliberately. We’ve already started work on Saints Row 3, and we have a new direction we want to go in with that which we of course can’t talk about. We wrap up a lot in this one. There’s no frustration.”

No further details are known about the game, but it’s expected to have a 2010 release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. There have been rumors that Dex is the main target in Saints Row 3, that the game will take place in Stilwater once again, and that there will be both old and new customizations, new activities, etc. Publisher THQ’s tentative release schedule reveals Saints Row 3 is planned to arrive sometime after April 1st, 2010.

Listen people SR is a great game but kinda NO STORYLINE in SR1 I mean he is just walking ghetto scene blah blah with GTA 4 not like other GTAs or others I mean simple man Serb immigrant gets involved in mob he has a NAME family talks!!!!!It looks real SR1&2 looks like a cartoon or some sort of kid animation.Anyway SR has caught up with the world with choppers planes boats an underground scary place it was ok.But lets face the facts GTA 4 compared too SR2 GTA 4 is better.Of coarse it has its little problems like no planes SR2 does.Better storyline SR kinda doesn’t.When you look at it GTA 4 seems like real life immigrant comes to America gets involved w/ the wrong crowd gambling maniac cousin gfs internet,tv,and vodeo gamne access.It is just a very good game….

I think GTA 4 is a good game, But if u want to just mess around GTA 4 is boring after u complete the story mode.. Thats why theres a game like Saints Row 2 where u can literally do almost anything.. including skydiving, insurance fraud, ruining buildings and cars with septic trucks, and much more. GTA 4 only thing you can do is to Bowl, have like 10 assassin missions, hang out with annoying ppl who call too often, and get drunk and play darts. (how fun,, NOT)

saints row 3 should have grove street on there like grove street vs 3rd street or grove street or 3rd street

If they make a Saint Row 3 your charter should be able to jack cars like in wheelman. If you have never played wheel man you can be driving your car and just jump from your car and jack another while it and yourself still is still driving. This would make some missions alot easyer. Ther needs to be more voices & skin shades. Also tatoos every where including neck and face like maro.

the only thing about gta4 that is better is online freemode and graphics which sr3 is most likely going to beat. i dont have to name all the great things SR series has. its an all around better game because its fun and nobody cares how unreallistic it is. Can u beat the hell outa people with stop signs in gta4? no. thats just one benefit out of hundreds

Saints Row 3 Already In Planning?

Saints Row 2 is yet to hit the streets and yet two of the games developers are talking about a third installment into the series. Designer Scott Phillips and Lead Producer Greg Donovan had a nice chat with Strategy Informer about Saints Row 2 and in there little chat Strategy Informer decided to ask about the possibility of there being a Saint’s Row 3, and Scott Philips told them that they will wait until players put their comments out for SR2 and collect that stuff and start working on it then, hopefully.

“We’ve got tons and tons of ideas coming out of SR 2. I mean, coming out of any game you know things you want to make better and in addition to that, we’ll wait until players put their comments out and collect that stuff and start working on it then, I guess. Hopefully.”

(go rob shops,raid drug plants, start a gang war,or just kill random people)

Posted by aj | March 20, 2009, 3:56 PM I think that in sr3 you should be able to fly to other cities deal with more gangs, including real gangs and mafias like the 18th street gang, a random made up mafia, maybe the traids, yakuza, snake heads, russian mafiya, irish mob etc etc. The developers should also make this sort of like an RPG, where your choices affect the story line, like say if you somehow insult a columbian drug lord your next shipment is very expensive and “mysteriously disappears”. They could also make it so that you get more income from your territories buisnesses etc so that you can say put cops on a payroll, fix an election, call a hit, have an enemy buisness blown up. Another thing they could add is the ability to maybe turn part of your gang into a legit corporation(like the vice kings in SR or the Mafia founding Las Vegas)you should be able to even promote people in your gang to lieutenants and get certain people for a specific job like an arsonist for taking down a building, a lawyer to get gang members out of jail. Well I could rant about this all night and say some more ideas but I won’t.

I really enjoyed playing SR2 but SR3 could become even more FUN with these features. My dream game consists of lots of partying, and getting drunk and/or stoned, drama, real aspects of life, racing, fighting, and other cool stuff you could only get away with in your FANTASY=]. Maybe a game with SR2 GTA:SA/4 the Sims (but not as boring) Need for Speed kinda mixed up to make a CRAZY, FUN, SUPER COOL video game. I cross my fingers someone can make it happen.

Posted by TaraJames | March 25, 2009, 12:14 PM I think that on saints row 3 they should allow you to enteract more with things for example the parties thrown at your different cribs are cool and all but all you can do is walk around. in the next one you should be able to get a lap dance from the stripers get in a hot tub with a bunch of girls and be able to sit down on the couch and have the tv on kinda like gta4 where you can watch tv, also be able to take girls back to your crib or pick a chick at the parties. as for the gangs and stuff its cool for games to have gangs that you and your gang can fight but at the end of sr2 all the gangs are gone so theres really nothing to do to keep active besides killing pimps and cops you should have to be able to take only a certain amount of territory and get money from how many territories you have but not fully destroy your rival gangs, a street should separate the different gangs. also a deeper customization of different parts of the game more customizable cribs, cars clothes. i want a revolutionary game that after the campaing is over the game doesnt get tossed aside with the others and saints row as the possiblity to do this

Name brand clothing and bandanas in your pockets, on your head, around your mouth, and even over lapped with a hat or somthing would really give the game a lot of ratings to, as well as a split screen so that two people could play on one system. A more dramatic story and more missions would keep a person into the game.

Fully accessible bar at cribs - u should be able to purchase and stock up your drinks. Drink whenever u want and share with the ladies … 2. I also would like to see a party option - where peeps drink, smoke, and ladies get freaky. Big parties - big respect. They could probably end with cops and a drunken chase or a rival gang’s attack. 3. User Tracks - upload and play your tracks while rolling in a pimped ride 4. Pimping should not just be stealing but u buy a house and open a business or u pimp a ride and trick on the streets. I would love to see these improvements.

With improved physics, improved vehicle handling and improved environments - anything is possible. GTa 4 had some cool bikes - u pick up speed - then u crash and die… what a shame. A true stunt artist never dies… i would like to see - 1. Dirt biking on a trail - a rocky area or a green grassy area. - with jumps and dodging trees, etc. 2. Jumping onto trains 3. Riding off a ramp and landing on moving boats. 4. And of course - high speed, great control - u jump, lift the bike and ride on the side of a wall or a slant surface - without falling and die’in… These would be great bike stunts.

Posted by miss_ALOHA | April 9, 2009, 9:14 PM why don´t you make the world really huge and with lots of citys. an also a splitscreen mode for like two friends to work out the game together on the same console. and more secret missions. more funny activities. more gangs and i also think that you sould take back the carnales and vice kings. and more mountains and ladscapes like in gta san andreas when you could drive up all those mountains that would be great. you should be able to ride horses and stuff to. and have like different wethers and that the years go by like one year every five hours or something. and it i would be awesome if you could go to a shooting range and get better aiming. and in stead of choosing how your body sould be you have to go to a gym to train and get strong and make really nice fighting system like contering attacks anddisarming people and if you hit someone they should not fall to the ground at once they should figt back and then you have to hit him alot to get him on the ground and then eiither lieve him there or kick him to death. and you should be able to speak to everyone on the streetand like make friends and recruit them to the saints. and make some fantasy weapons like lasergun and such. and more melee weapons, i like melee weapons:P and why don´t you make sr3 more like an RPG where you can find whatever wherever. and you should be able to go int to any house and take all their valuebles and sell them to get money. and more consecuenses to your bad actions. and more like sniper missions in the story mode. and you shold be able to rob every store in the city. and you shoud be able to deisarm peole with guns and then shoot them or just punch them to death. and pleese take back dex. thank you and hope you take my advice.

*More realistic graphics (applying the laws of physics i.e., blood & dirt splatters on objects)
*Larger sandbox to play in or more than one.
*More rival gangs (including political figures & liked the previously mentioned Jr. gang idea)
*More variety in character (hair, clothing, tats, etc.) and gang customization
*More possible social interactions (dating, hoeing, brawls, police raids, initiations, assassination attempts, etc)
***No brand-names. Those asking for them probably aren’t even familiar with the financial terms; license, royalty, assets.

You should have more music choise aswell half of the songs on there i had never even heard before lol and you should also be able to have more followers and create waves of gang members and when they go back to their crib in stead of having a bed that there never going to use you should be able to sleep in it and use the chairs that are there like when you see a bench in public everyone else can sit on it aswell as your comfy sofas you have paid for but you cant sit on them… When you go into your crib you shouldnt have to punch your mates for them to help you they should just do it and also i think that you should be able to name your charecter. You should be able to go out of the city and there should be more secret locations and you should be able to buy actual houses instead of just cribs and it would be cool if you could rob a house too and it should be able to snow and set on the ground and instead of having to go to the plastic surgeons to change your hair and make up their should be shops for that and you should be able to go into resturants and actually sit down to eat with all the gang rather then just standing thir with four choises then go back out again and also be able to get a job and instead of just getting in a car you should have to learn to drive and get a lisence and break into them rather then them just being unlocked and you should go on bikes and skateboards. And when you go into night clubs you should be able to dance rather then just stand their and watch people and also be able to play games like bowling and sports… and you should be able to go around a supermarket and buy their week shopping and drive home and put it in cupboards and the fridge and when your hungry just cook it and eat. At night it should be darker and their should be a clock to tell you what the time is and their should be festivals like christmas and halloween and you can visit family. you should be able to get into othe hospital and dentist and rather then the police trying to kill you when you have done something they should arrest you and then you have to escape and go to court and rather then them just automaticly knowing where you are no matter where you go they should track you down. and you should get done for speeding and going through red lights.

You could put more bling like a gold chain with a money sign on it. You should also be able to buy DC shoes and shirts.PLEASE PLEASE make it so that when you use a cheat codes you can still be able to get achievements.Oh and their should be more gangs because when I was done with SR 1 and 2 I got bored and had to play the whole game over again and I know what your thinking try playing without cheats I have twice. I hope these ideas will make the best game ever.

But in the 3rd game, i would like to get jetbacks, multi-player without the use of internet connection(with a full roaming distace n split screens), have customization of any type of vechile, skateboards n roller blades n bikes,n customization of the main charaters looks such as Johnny Gat, Pierce, and Shaundi and another thing i would want in Saints Row 3 is to show more blood and gore like when someone gets killed and bring all of the dead Saints back and let them be your zombie homies(after you complete Zombie Uprising if brought back)

In saints row 2 you had one, but i bet some people where too stupid and didnt kno where it wuz, but you shold hav two malls with better clothes, a bandana over ur mouth, and two customize anything anyway you want it. Since some people like the way girls looked on saint row 1, on sr1 their boobs actually bounced so for all u pervs im lookn out ya. For the other mall it shold be part of ur crib like the lopez’s mantion on sr1 and that shold have an extention to the hideout on sr2 so itz like the sikest crib and you can still customize it. More hair styles add sr1 and 2 hair styles and think of more. we shold be able to mix up other hair styles to create our own tantalizing style. There shold be more cities like Stillwater, Moving Palms, and anther exotic land and you should have your own private island and thats where the game starts. U shold have to break julius and dex out of jail for the eginning mission, bring them back to ur island. U should also be able to interact, recruit people for ur gang (u recruit them) and build buildings on ur island. Use a heli to steal some parts from other island to build and the rest to be imported. U should b able to improt and export drugs, cars, and funiture while im on tht topic. U shold also be able to pull pranks on other gang members from ur gang and the head gang of the city. U shold also be able to destroy the ultor building, become the head of the city, make ur own company, and do certain things to certain people, but i’ll leave tht to you guys. At one point you shuld have a visit fro your family sayin they need to sta with you and theyll b with you gand and theyre one of your homies you can call. And last you should have bigger vans so you can carry more homies with you.

SR3 should include more lands, and Animations for Npc’s. on one thing the controls when interacting with Npcs felt stiff, loosen it up. more options for everything (cars, homes, gangs, clothes, voice, looks, Hair etc.) the story is good and I really liked the protaginist in sr2. Add some animals (dogs, cats, birds, lions) and little children and teens (so many missions could be made out of these like kidnapping or saving, escaping cop dogs, owning a gang Tiger (also customizable) add more affects for explosions (SHATTER THE FOUNDATION!! man) love fast cars. Something very important I noticed when playing, I got bored more often after beating the story. A gang king/queen should be able to settle down and start a family (and not the fable 2 kind) Im talkin serious interactions with Npc’s. like getting a job and working for the d’oh (optional of course) go crazy add more things to buy at stores (like a large Still-mart lol) where you can buy some video games to play on the 50inch plas, make a “gansta samurai game” a “super Vice bros” (like knock off mario and luigi) and dont get me started on how i could just spend hours throwing npcs love it more options like choking, headlocks, breaking limbs, dunce slapping, wedggies, stuffing a bomb down someones pants………oh Im not violent at all lol…but hey I like my violent games its why i buy them. more music (i like the 80’s real nice TFFears so good.) being the boss you should be able to give commands call for back up, air support, like WW2/CoD gangsta style and man I WANT MORE THAN 3 GUYS FIGHTING WITH ME AND FOR ME GIVE ME LIKE 20 MAX. SR3 needs a bank system stash the cash let it grow and rob hehe. you should be able to run for political positions and really control stillwater. and go into space!!!……okay kidding. better car controls driving is a pain sometimes in SR2 like turning feels like a box on wheels. more weapons like Tanks war machines, Nukes, horses and chariots (that would be fun) better boats and add gaint ships like air craft carriers and they carry Gang cribs and can be controlled moving from destination to destination. (like transporting gang armies OH YEAH GANG WARS!!!) include also some shows to watch on tv whats the point in having those nice screens when you cant even use em. Add fishing, diving, and a cheat where you can transform into a super gangsta (like super s
