SEGA vs. Capcom game commented on by Capcom

SEGA vs Capcom, does that sound like a good idea to you?

Well Capcom was asked about the likelihood of creating a SEGA vs Capcom game as reported by Nintendo Everything and offered this comment in reply:

“One never knows. We have a lot on our plates at the moment with Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 4 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the fighting front. We’ll see what happens down the line.” - Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development

Ok that’s about as generic an answer as they come and doesn’t answer the question but it is interesting that they seem open to ideas. Personally I still hope that we see a Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat game, THAT would be interesting.

That would pretty cool! I would like to see some Virtua Fighters in there and also Sonic.

Going with the theme, I would like to see Namco VS Capcom (not a strategy game, but an actual fighting game). Also, I would really like to see a SquareEnix VS Capcom…that game would insane!!! There are so many possibilities for a VS Capcom game!!!!!

Yeah count me in too! Add Amigo so there are more monkeys in fighting games ^_^

Yeah Vince H. you could really drag the “vs Capcom” title to include a ton of different companies and they’d all make for some very interesting combinations.

As I said in my piece, Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter/Capcom still is my top pick!

And yes Mike, MORE MONKEYS! Maybe if we ever see a Sega vs Capcom the Super Monkey Ball characters will make an appearance.

GOD. NO. PLEASE. Don’t even THINK about crossing over Street Fighter with that piece of trash Mortal Kombat. Just the thought of it makes me ill. They’re nothing alike and seeing them together would be a goddamn nightmare. If there’s one thing I never want to see in my whole life it’s seeing Chun-Li’s head ripped off.

wat i really think is that marvel v.s capcom 2 and snk v.s capcom 2 should be remade into newer versions with more fighters and better graphics for the ps3 and other new consoles….or just maybe a marvel v.s snk v.s capcom: triple threat that would be really interesting in the future
