Go! Go! Kokopolo action-puzzler announced for DS. Wii sequel Kokopolo Paradise due 2012
Go! Go! Kokopolo is the name of an all-new action platform game for the DS, created by some of the same guys who worked on Super Monkey Ball and Crash Bandicoot.
This was revealed via the 29th issue of NGamer Magazine as reported by N-Europe where Keith Webb writes in a developer diary about the game.
Go! Go! Kokopolo as previously mentioned is an action-puzzler that stars a vicious wildcat who is rudely awakened from a deep slumber. The main character you play as in the game is named Kokopolo. He is an anti-hero, which means that while he isn’t exactly bad, he’s not exactly good either. He simply gets caught up in the sadistic antics of the cat. Webb describes said cat as “the ultimate trickster, scratching innocent animals at will, and luring them into deadly traps in a typically comic style”.
Levels in the game will include tropical settings with lush jungles and sparkling water.
It is also confirmed that any of the concept art that isn’t actually used for this game, will be saved for the inevitable Wii sequel, which already has the name Kokopolo Paradise and isn’t slated for release until . . . wait for it . . . 2012!
More information including concept art and screenshots can be seen in the latest issue of NGamer Magazine so be sure to pick that up and check it out.
