Pokemon Platinum sells almost 1 million at Japanese launch

Pokemon Platinum Japanese BoxartLast week’s Media Create Sales show that the enhanced remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl called Pokemon Platinum has sold 963,273 copies on the Nintendo DS in its first two days on sale in Japan.

When Pokemon Platinum will be released in other countries worldwide in 2009, you can expect the extra features to include: The introduction of Giratina’s Origin Form, new story elements, the return of Pokemon Emerald’s Battle Frontier where you must battle in seven attractions, the new Battle Recorder that can record fought battles & share them online, and brand new Wi-Fi functions such as mini-games to play with people worldwide.
