Kororinpa 2 ball-rolling gameplay screenshotKororinpa 2 is the sequel to the first Kororinpa: Marble Mania game that was released for the Wii last year. The game plays similarly to Super Monkey Ball as you must rotate the playfield to make a ball roll through various obstacle courses that get ever more complex as you progress. Environments include houses, deserts, snow-capped mountains, water stages and space settings.

Kororinpa 2 features 100 stages across seven different areas as players control a small ant (in a ball) named Anthony who is on a mission to locate the “Golden Sunflower Seed” for his ant colony. On the way you will be tasked with collecting pieces of junk, 100 of them in all, that are required in order to reach the final stage. As you collect pieces of junk, your ant colony will use them to build sections of “The Stump Temple”, which is the final stage that is unlocked once all 100 pieces have been collected and is the path that will lead them to the Golden Sunflower Seed. Subsequently, those pieces of junk that you gather can then be used in the game’s Edit Mode!

Key Features of Kororinpa 2 include:

* 10 special stages designed to use the Wii Balance Board!
* Includes multiplayer racing modes
* An Edit Mode allows for custom stage creation
* Created stages can be shared online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
* The game will include Mii integration.

Kororinpa 2 (working title) is scheduled for release in Europe during the first quarter of 2009 and is yet to have a scheduled release anywhere else.
