Official The King of Fighters XII characters list

Out of the complete King of Fighters XII (KOF XII) cast, 22 characters have been revealed, like Terry and Athena. We thought it was time to list The King of Fighters XII characters below that have been confirmed for the fighting game. It will first be coming to Japanese arcades in April 2009, and SNK Playmore confirmed that it will then be released worldwide for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on July 28th, 2009.

When you click on each KOF 12 character’s name below, a window will pop up with a picture of him / her.

3. Athena Asamiya (in original Psycho Soldier outfit)
4. Benimaru Nikaido (in King of Fighters ‘94 outfit)

9. Goro Daimon (returning from King of Fighters 2003)

* Mai Shiranui (right now it looks like she’s not in, but Mai may appear as a downloadable character)

The entire game will have new hand drawn 2D sprites on detailed 2D backgrounds. All the sprites used in previous games for over 10 years will be dropped and will be replaced with these new high definition sprites. SNK Overseas Manager Yoshihito Koyama also revealed that the game is going to be “3D [effects] mixed with 2D,” with there being zero cell shading in the game. dude, what rides on me buying or not buying this game is if k’ is in it, if he isnt, then its a no buy for me. He was my favorite character in, geez, i think the last one i played was KOF 98, or the one with krizalid as the final boss, and k was by far the best character i used… petition anyone?

mehh.. lack of Rock Howard make the game fail, nice seing the cool outfit for Terry return.
Also nice return of Kim, too bad for his pupil though, I wanted her to stay (you never have too many clones of Terry and Kim in that game)

needs K,Kula,King,Geese howard,Yuri,wolfgang krauser,vice,Tung fu re,Tizoc,K9999,mai. 3 new characters a Duke nukem ripoff, 1970 pimp and a Girl striper.

im a big fan of kof series and i will buy this game
but the characters list is not very good
it needs k’, kula, king, shingo, mai of course, billy, yashiro, chris and why not rock howard and soiree meira
if they put this characters it would be great

Wassup! KOF on HD toon shading, very nice but, the character list is not too good for me. Here’s what am I thinking for this new king of fighters…Oswald,Seth,Honfu,Soiree Meira or Momoko,Chinnen,Tizoc and my favourite Marco Rodriguez.

THE GAME ITS ALL RIGHT NOT GOOD OR BAD BUT IT SURES NEEDS: KING,YURI,MAI,EIJI KISARAGI,BILLY KANE,RYUJI YAMAZAKI,OROCHI LEONA,OROCHI IORI,AND SOME BOSS FIGHTS WITH GEESE HOWARD,WOLFGANG KRAUSER,Mr.BIG, AND RUGAL BERNSTEIN. AT LEAST BRING THE OLD SCHOOL CHARACTERS WITH THEIR OLD MOVES 2 LOOKS LIKE THEY TRY TO MUCH. I GIVE THEM THE GOOD WORK ON THE GRAPHICS.
