The Sims 3 release date is June 2, 2009

The Sims 3 has received a final worldwide release date of June 2nd, 2009 for PC. This is a delay from the original February 20th date.

This announcement came from an EA press conference at the Leipzig Games Convention 2008 where they showed off some features from The Sims 3 including Sim Attributes (both good and bad) and the “Create-A-Sim” mode that has the headline “It’s kind of like real life.”

If you are one of those people who doesn’t like having to deal with store clerks/other shoppers then you’ll be happy to know that you will be able to buy and download The Sims 3 digitally the day of it’s release.

The game will also be available in a limited Collector’s Edition that includes a special tin case and comes with a The Sims 3 plumbob USB drive with matching green carabiner, an exclusive in-game Italian-style sports car, a hints and tips guide and The Sims 3 plumbob stickers.

I’ll bet that it will go to Play Station 3 first, then Wii or Xbox360 then so on, and so forth but I doubt it will ever come to Play Station2. It will probably be like 63.99 or some other price.

If it is ever going to come out on a console it will be PS3 & Xbox 360. Can’t see it coming out on the Wii as it is on the PC, they will have to make a watered down version.

Thanks EA i really love the Sims 3 i have all the collections on 1 and 2 on PC and PS2 and XBOX games and i have the 3rd one with 2 Expansion Packs. I can’t wait for the 3rd Expansion Pack Sims 3 Ambitions. I’m dying to get it on June.
