The Sims 3 release date is June 2, 2009

The Sims 3 has received a final worldwide release date of June 2nd, 2009 for PC. This is a delay from the original February 20th date.

This announcement came from an EA press conference at the Leipzig Games Convention 2008 where they showed off some features from The Sims 3 including Sim Attributes (both good and bad) and the “Create-A-Sim” mode that has the headline “It’s kind of like real life.”

If you are one of those people who doesn’t like having to deal with store clerks/other shoppers then you’ll be happy to know that you will be able to buy and download The Sims 3 digitally the day of it’s release.

The game will also be available in a limited Collector’s Edition that includes a special tin case and comes with a The Sims 3 plumbob USB drive with matching green carabiner, an exclusive in-game Italian-style sports car, a hints and tips guide and The Sims 3 plumbob stickers.

So pissed at EA GAMES for delaying the Sims 3 game. I pre ordered the game and was ready to play before university starts back up, but now it’ll release during my uni finals. Getting my money back!

ya i am so confused now…thought it was being released the 20th of feb. now i’m pissed that i have to wait til the 2nd of june.also,i heard u had to be online to play it.if so thats bull crap too!

That totally sucks, I am beyond pissed about this new date…I mean whats the hold up. And why such a huge jump from Feb. 20th to June 2nd. This is such a major disappointment. I thought I was going crazy because that is so off, that’s like a whole 3 more months away! That totally sucks!!! Very upset w/ EA Games for this!

OK first im extremely pissed due to the fact that ea said feb. 20th the sims 3 is coming out it’s all announced on the sims 2 apartment lie and everything im very mad everyday i think about it and you no wat it was supposed to be released next WEEK……now june the second!

I’m PISSED!! I was so ready to play the sims 3, but now i have to wait till schools over. Don’t think i could go that long…NOT WITHOUT GOING CRAZY WAITING EVEN LONER FOR MY GAME TO COME OUT!!!!!!!!!! that’s a bunch of bull.

Ya, I definitely agree. This is rediculous. The very week that we are expecting to see the Sims 3 in stores and ready to buy it, we are told that we can’t yet and have to wait about 3 more months. As if the waiting we’ve been doing wasn’t long enough. This is not fair! I’ve been soooo looking forward to The Sims 3 and now they expect me to wait longer. I think we deserve a proper explanation as to why they have moved the release date to June 2.

I am so disappointed right now, Does anybody know Why(!) the releasedate has been postponed that long? This is such bull, such crappy shit. I’m so pissed at EA right now, we’ve all been waiting for so long and now, right before the release they say it’s not due in an other 3 (!!) months?!!! You suck duckface EA!!!!!!!!

I believe EA Games does not need any more marketing for the Sims 3.

There are plently of Sims lovers who want to buy it. Probably almost Billions, right??

Besides those Sim lovers will be the one who will help market for EA Games by telling their friends, they should just put the release date back to Feb. 20.
