Rare has announced four-player online co-op for Viva Pinata 2!
Four player online co-op works exactly as you imagine it would. Four-players will be able to edit the hosts garden (and only the hosts) at the same time, having full access to the same range of tools that they get in single-player, nothing taken out, nothing added. This does indeed mean that your friends can take a shovel and wipe out your entire town if the desire bubbles up inside them to do so!
In addition to the co-op editing, Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise will also feature 2D online races for everyone to compete in, as well as online competitions, giving you the ability to win prizes monthly via the leaderboards. Much more information will reportedly be announced during the Leipzig 2008 conference that’s going on now.
